Job description
AFRY and our Advanced Manufacturing business area have successfully delivered several large turnkey projects in recent years and possess the expertise needed for technology-intensive automation projects, from mechanical and electrical design to PLC and robot programming. We have project groups throughout the country; from Umeå in the north to Olofström in the south.
To enable our deliveries, we also need to support our customers with the construction of mechanical solutions.
We are now looking for you who want to work in our team in Olofström, the team currently consists of 30 committed employees.
To our team, we now want to grow with a mechanical designer who can be responsible for designs in our projects. Examples of assignments are grippers and peripheral equipment for robot cells such as turning stations, tracks and more.
In the projects, you participate in, among other things, the development of concepts, finished manufacturing documents and quotes / calculations until the plant is commissioned and handed over to the customer.
Examples of tasks are:
Prepare designs.
- Design and calculate equipment.
- Design layout and be responsible for mechanical documentation.
- Create purchase documents for projects.
- Manage article/spare parts lists.
- Create system and function descriptions.

Qualifications
You are a mechanical engineer at the beginning of your career or have a few years of experience in construction. We see it as meritorious if you have experience of Catia, experience of reading drawings, experience of mechanical work.
In the role you need to be creative, you also sometimes need to be a little square and be able to create structure in the project and make concepts that hold according to the current calculation.
Your ambition should be to deliver a design where you are just as proud that the technical solution meets design standards and customer requirements as that the concept has been made cost-effective and that the schedule has been kept.
As a person, we believe that you are driven, curious and confident in taking your own initiative.
You speak Swedish and also have good knowledge of English in both speech and writing. For the position, you are required to have a B driving license.
