About the role
As a mechanical engineer at AFRY in Jönköping, you have the opportunity to work on exciting and varied projects in mechanical development and product design. We work with a wide mix of clients - from innovative startups to well-established companies in areas such as automotive, medical technology, energy and consumer products.
Your tasks can range from designing and developing mechanical products and systems to performing technical analyses and simulations to ensure that the solutions are both sustainable and functional. You may also participate in the selection of materials and production methods in close dialog with both customers and manufacturers. The work takes place in a dynamic environment where you use tools such as Creo, SolidWorks or Catia to create and develop technical solutions.
As a consultant at AFRY, your projects are adapted based on both our clients' needs and your own skills and ambition. We strive to create assignments where you can develop and contribute with your strengths. This may mean that you work in in-house projects through our organization Customized Solutions or on site at our customers.
Requirement specification
We are looking for you who have a technical background and experience in mechanical design. You have a relevant university or civil engineering degree in mechanical, mechanical engineering or product development and a few years of experience working with product development and design. Experience with CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks or Catia is also important, as well as an understanding of production methods, material selection and manufacturing processes.
To thrive in the role, we see that you are comfortable working in different environments and that you enjoy collaborating with people from different backgrounds and professional fields. As a consultant, you need to have an open and communicative attitude, and you enjoy working in a team while being able to take responsibility for your own tasks.
As we work with clients in both Sweden and internationally, it is important that you are fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
