About the Process Industries Division

AFRY's Division Process Industries with one of its business areas in Sweden supports the process industry in many sectors such as Mining & Metals, Pulp & Paper, Chemicals & Biorefining as well as sectors in growth such as Battery, Power to X, etc. In Sweden, AFRY has offices in more than 90 locations, in the Process Industries Sweden business area we are present in over 40 of these. That makes us a local partner combined with our reach and collaboration with colleagues and customers globally. Our service offering covers the entire life cycle and value chain of the customer's business. We are involved from early project development phases to large CAPEX implementation projects to operational resource and specialist support. Through our unique combination of process technology competence, project management and multidisciplinary design expertise mixed with specialists in digitization, maintenance, sustainability (environment, health, safety), we create added value for our customers.

AFRY Process Industries is growing and getting more and more large projects. We therefore need to expand our operations with more experienced resources within Plant Design and mechanics in the following locations; Kiruna, Gällivare, Luleå, Piteå, Skellefteå, Örnsköldsvik, Sundsvall, Gävle, Karlstad, Åmål, Norrköping and Borlänge.

As a designer in Plant Design, you will work in piping, HVAC and project coordination. The assignments can vary from being a one-man assignment where you yourself are responsible and carry out the detailed design or as a leading designer in larger projects where the distribution of tasks, follow-up for your discipline and coordination with others are included. All project phases occur as preliminary studies, preliminary projects, implementation as well as assembly coordination and check-out.

As a mechanical designer, you work with mechanical planning, investigate, dimension, calculate, model and document industrial facilities, create request documents, manufacturing documents and act as customer support.

Requirements specification

• You probably have a college or university education in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Meritorious if you have worked as a designer in Plant Design or a mechanical designer, designer or project manager for a number of years and are familiar with the industry's current directives and standards. Preferably in the process industry.
• You advantageously have your own network of contacts with customers and suppliers in the region
• We see that you value a good business approach as our contact areas, both internally and externally, are based on cooperation and good relationships.
• You are used to working in different CAD environments.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• You are flexible and have a B driving license as trips out to our customers for shorter/longer periods may occur.

As a person, you are communicative, driven and have good cooperation skills. You thrive in social contexts and are passionate about teamwork where together we can achieve fantastic results!
