About the role
AFRY has for many years successfully supported both Swedish and international energy producers, and we are now investing in further expansion in this exciting market! Hydro power in Sweden is under development and with 500 hydropower engineers, AFRY is one of the world's largest consulting companies in hydropower and we want to be involved in driving development in the field. In Sweden, we are about 90 people working with hydropower, of which about 20 belong to the Hydro Power Automation section. The section consists of civil engineers and high school engineers with education in Electrical Power Engineering or Energy Systems.
We are now looking for an experienced project / assignment manager who can strengthen our offer in hydropower automation and energy storage.
As a project manager with us, you get the opportunity to follow projects from start to finish. You will be a key person in the work with our projects and be responsible for planning, follow-up and coordination of both internal and external resources. You will deliver quality results that provide added value for both the client and ourselves, while creating good relationships and building trust. Travel is involved, and the position requires frequent attendance at the office in Enköping (1-2 days/week).
Requirement specification
We are looking for you who have a strong technical background and proven experience in leading and coordinating projects in the energy and/or hydropower industry from start to finish. You should be meticulous, solution-oriented and have the ability to work both independently and in teams. As a project manager, you are driven to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and with high quality. You are a good communicator and good at building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
So what skills and experience do you need to bring to the table?
- An engineering degree in energy, environment or similar field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project/assignment management, preferably in the energy or hydropower sector
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Solution-oriented and ability to work both independently and in groups
- Communicative and fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing
- B driving license
- Certification in project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE, etc.e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is meritorious
