About the role
AFRY has a long and successful history in the energy industry, and within the Energy Division we are proud to offer a comprehensive portfolio of services within energy production, distribution and storage. As consultants and advisors, we help policy makers, energy companies, industrial players, developers, financiers and end-users to define appropriate measures during all stages of the energy transition. We strive to be a leader in the Clean Energy concept, which means a transition to clean, renewable and sustainable power and heat production.
AFRY is one of Sweden's largest consultants in Transmission and Distribution. We are about 200 consultants in the electricity grid area and we are currently running Sweden's largest electricity grid project. We operate in an international environment and run many assignments and collaborations both nationally and internationally. We are in an expansive and hot industry and we see that our need to strengthen ourselves in project management and management of really large projects is increasing.
We are now looking for an experienced and dynamic leader for the role of Project Manager based in Solna.
You will work in parallel with section managers in the organization and sit in the management team for the Transmission and Distribution business unit. Your task will be to build a small project management organization to support the entire organization for Transmission and Distribution.
You will be responsible for project management, customer relations, team development and work environment. In parallel with your Project Manager duties, you will participate in larger projects to manage resources from across the organization and either support Project Managers or act as Project Director.
The role involves travel to meet clients, attend internal meetings and contribute to our shared leadership within the Energy Division.

What knowledge and experience do you need to bring with you?
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in energy, electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy industry.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management of large projects
- Strong communication skills and strategic thinking
- B driving license
Additional qualifications:
- Documented experience in consulting business
- Experience in a managerial role with profit, personnel and work environment responsibilities
