AFRY has a global reach with deep roots in the Nordics. Together we accelerate the transition to a more sustainable society.

About the role

AFRY is a leading hydropower consultancy with over 500 engineers globally. We are now looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager within construction. In this role, you will contribute to the expansion of pumped storage in Sweden, a technology for large-scale energy storage that enables the continued expansion of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power. In Sweden, we have about 90 employees in hydropower, of which about 35 belong to the Dams, Geotechnics and Construction section.

As a Project Manager, your main task is to lead teams in design and/or investigation based on dialogue with project managers and clients. You are responsible for coordinating technical issues and ensuring that deliveries are made on time and with the right quality. A typical working week may include participation in investigations and feasibility studies, management and distribution of design tasks at different project stages, as well as dialog with the customer to understand their needs and requirements. The work is done both from the office and the home office, with regular site visits to facilities around the country. We have both national and international projects.

You will have support from colleagues in several offices in Sweden and an introductory program with a buddy who can support in various issues.

In the long term, there are opportunities to work with dust safety and undergo RIDAS training, as well as international exchanges. Together with your manager, you will define goals and development plans.
