Customized Solutions is an R&D unit within AFRY where we create tailor-made solutions on behalf of our clients, in-house at our own premises. We are divided into four delivery models (Managed Agile Teams, Projects, Product Life Management and Production). The disciplines in which Customized Solutions works are mainly embedded (hardware, software) and mechanical design - from idea to production and maintenance. Our customers are mainly in the telecom, automotive, medical technology, defense, energy and manufacturing industries.
We at Customized Solutions work in a hybrid organization, with two to three days a week at one of our offices.
Your duty station will be mixed between our head office for R&D in Solna and our production site located in Saltsjö-Boo Nacka.
About the role
Are you a project manager and want to lead complex product development projects? Are you a Project Manager with knowledge in Embedded Systems? Here is an exciting position for you!
You will be responsible for product development projects from early feasibility studies to industrialization.
Responsibilities
- Lead product development from early feasibility studies to industrialization
- Lead projects according to AFRY and customer processes
- Customer interface for business development and steering group work
Duties
- Plan and manage project deliveries in embedded and product development, focusing on quality, budget and schedule
- Use project tools such as schedules, WBS and KPIs to manage and control projects
- Participate and present in steering committee meetings
- Work with boards on a weekly basis and use programs like Gerrit to follow up on development progress
- Collaborate with system designers and quality managers to ensure requirements fulfillment and customer benefit
- Lead and communicate daily with project members, both digitally and physically, and build trust with coworkers and customers

Qualifications
- Several years of project management experience in embedded systems and product development
- Experience in planning and taking responsibility for project deliveries in terms of scope, quality, budget and schedule
- Technical knowledge in the embedded domain, obtained through university studies or relevant work experience
- Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English, and experience of presenting in steering groups
- A genuine interest in project management, demonstrated through participation in forums, conferences, or certificates such as IPMA, PMI or PRINCE2
