About the role

AFRY is one of Sweden's leading consultants in Transmission and Distribution, and we run some of the country's largest electricity grid projects. Our strength lies in combining technical expertise with innovative solutions in energy production, distribution and storage. Within the Distribution section, we are about 55 employees and work with many of the country's various electricity grid companies with exciting projects.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the entire project cycle - from planning and implementation to follow-up - with a focus on complex and innovative projects in electric power and investments in the electricity grid. As a consultant, you will work with our customers' projects, small and large, as well as reinvestments or new investments in the electricity network. You will be a key player in our efforts to strengthen AFRY's position as a leading player in the energy transition and electrification of society.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate technical projects from start to finish, with responsibility for budget, schedule and quality.
  • Collaborate with clients, technicians and other stakeholders to ensure that projects meet requirements and exceed expectations.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with applicable processes, standards, regulations and legal requirements.
  • Identify and solve technical challenges during the course of the project.
  • Contribute to further develop AFRY's project management methods and processes.
  • Strengthen AFRY's position as a leading partner in energy transition and the future electricity grid.


Requirements

We are looking for you who have:

  • Engineering degree in energy, electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in electric power or other infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding of electric power systems
  • Certifications in project management (e.g. PMP, IPMA).Ability to navigate regulations and standards such as EBR and AMA is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
  • B driving license.

It is meritorious if you have experience of leading projects in the electricity grid and contributing to the electrification of society and have good knowledge of electric power and electricity grids.
