Job description

As a Technical Project Manager at AFRY, you will drive the development of our clients' industrial solutions, primarily in the field of automation. You are part of a larger team of driven project managers with a strong development focus in the department. In the role, you need to utilize your technical skills to ensure that the projects reach their goals.

In the role of project manager, you run one or more technical projects, which mainly means being responsible for planning, follow-up and coordination of internal and external resources in customers' as well as AFRY's internal projects. The role can involve both leading your own projects or participating in larger projects as a sub-project manager, coordinator or similar.

Client assignments are mainly located in Varberg and the surrounding area, but also around Gothenburg and remotely throughout Sweden.

The location for the position is Varberg or Gothenburg.

Statement from an employee:
"As a project manager at Advanced Automation in Varberg, after five years of faithful service, I have not yet tired. What I appreciate most about my job is the variety of assignments. Different customers with different challenges, which gives me a dynamic and flexible everyday life that suits me. On top of that, I've always had freedom and the trust of my immediate manager. We also have great transparency in our internal dialogues as well as unpretentious operations. Responsive management and solid career paths for continued personal development. The group also has a great deal of expertise and experience, and above all the willingness to share these."

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Several years of experience in running technical projects related to industry.
  • A suitable technical education in the basics and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in industrial automation and understanding of how projects in the field are conducted.
  • B-driving license as travel is included in the service.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing as this occurs with our customers.

Advantageous if you also have:

  • Broad knowledge of automation, DCS systems and / or SCADA systems.
  • In-depth technical experience in automation systems, such as ABB or Siemens.
  • Experience as a project manager specifically in the forestry industry, paper/pulp, or energy.

As you will be involved in developing the technical solutions of the future, we believe that you are a committed, curious and technically interested person who drives things from idea to goal. We work together and imagine that you value collaborating with others and creating commitment, building relationships and being responsible in what you do. You are also someone who enjoys sharing knowledge and lessons learned with others, as a mentor or expert.
