About the role
As a Project Manager, you will belong to the Project Service Gothenburg section in the Local Projects and Engineering Syd business area. The section is a local PMO, Project Management Office, which works mainly with our customers on the west coast in Bohuslän and Halland. In addition to our offices in Gothenburg and Stenungsund, we are now also starting up our operations at our office in Uddevalla. Within our division, Process Industry, we also work with customers in the process industry in project commitments throughout the country. The services we provide in our business area include process design, project management, project control, planning, purchasing, electricity, instruments, automation, mechanics, pipes, health and safety and HVAC. We are now expanding our services with competencies in HSE and working with Maintenance Stops, Turn Arounds as our industry calls it. This means that we can offer our employees many exciting assignments!
Your most important tasks are to work in our projects and to sell our services to existing and new customers. In parallel, you will support our project management staff and develop our service offering, contributing to the growth and expansion of the department together with the section manager to whom you report. You will help drive the section's development in how we work with our methods and tools in your area of expertise.
This is a position with great freedom to build up, pursue and develop your skills and experience in project management and contribute to the group's growth, recruitment, staff, customers and marketing. The assignments are mainly run from our offices in Gothenburg, Stenungsund and Uddevalla but also on site with our customers. You will be based in Gothenburg, Stenungsund or Uddevalla.
Requirements
As a person, you are comfortable in the project manager and consultant role where you are driven by selling and developing good business and relationships with employees, customers and colleagues. You recognize yourself in the words selling, communicative and positive, and you drive things from idea to its final phase - you do not give up even when it gets tough.
Equally important for the role is your focus on results as you are expected to effectively keep both business and resources together. You also often work in parallel assignments and it is therefore also important that you have the ability to create structure in your everyday life to be able to manage your projects in the best way for both you and your customers.
To succeed in the Project Manager role, you have:
- 5 years of documented work experience in project management in multidisciplinary projects in the process industry / petrochemistry
- previous experience of EPC / EPCM projects at the 10-100Mkr level in the process industry
- a civil or university engineering degree, but you may also have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way.
- speaks and writes Swedish and English well
- has a driver's license as travel may occur in the assignments
Meritande in the Project Manager role
- Certification in PMI or IPMA, Prince 2 or similar models
- Sales experience and a good network of contacts in our industry
- Previous management experience
