Our clients are at the forefront of both technological development and sustainability, so the projects you will be part of are characterized by those areas. AFRY as a company aims to be a leader in sustainability and as a Project Manager with us, you will be a strong contributor to a sustainable future. Sustainable solutions in industry can, for example, be about increased energy efficiency, higher material efficiency and smarter production systems.
In your role as a consultant and Project Manager with us, you will belong to the Project, Control & Management section, which specializes in project management and works with various roles in project management, project and program management and project coordination. The assignments are in the industry and technology sector where we contribute to creating tomorrow's smart production and product. Many of the projects where our help is requested are triggered by electrification of the automotive industry, fossil-free materials or digitization. The assignments are mainly at our customers, which are geographically located between Södertälje and Uppsala, or in our own premises.
The group currently consists of 17 project managers with 10 to 25 years of experience from leading roles in industry. We have an even distribution between women and men, if you are not already certified according to PRINCE2 and / or PMI, you will be able to be offered this through us. We are all engineers with a genuine interest in technology at the core, but our common driving force is the desire to develop in leadership and project management.
Some quotes from employees in the section about why they thrive so well:
"If you like to coordinate, keep order and run small and large projects with responsibility".
"Great section with a wonderful cohesion where we support each other and are happy to share our experiences".
"There is a great openness to come up with your own wishes about your personal development. In addition, we are encouraged to create breadth and develop, for example, that we should certify ourselves as Project Managers".
Kerstin Lundin, Senior Project Manager within PCM: "In my last assignment, I had the privilege of coordinating the daily work for component manufacturing in the automotive industry. I was tasked with prioritizing development activities, compiling schedules and leading process planners within the framework of the project. In addition, I participated in cross-functional activities with R&D and initiated improvement activities. This assignment suited me perfectly: mixing product development and improvement work. I appreciate that my wishes and needs were taken into account before choosing the assignment, nice when you feel that you have good conditions for success!"
