About the role
Sure, solving problems, meeting new people and learning new things is appealing? That's our everyday life as consultants in the electric power section at AFRY in Gothenburg. Our projects are both fun, challenging and varied as our clients range from heavy petrochemical operations to vehicle development/manufacturing and complex hospital facilities. With us, you get to follow the projects from the early stages to delivery and follow-up and work with mission management in low and medium voltage. You will get to work with everything from early stages to calculations, planning and investigations to producing technical documentation and documents and providing advice.
We see an increased, long-term, need for more skilled and experienced contract managers in electrical power for our operations. Our sections today consist of skilled employees with both shorter and longer experience and we run advanced electrical power projects for our external customers ranging from heavy petrochemical operations to vehicle development / manufacturing to complex facilities in hospitals. We work with everything from feasibility studies, investigations, switchgear and relay protection testing, new projects, conversions and extensions and inspections. With us, you are part of a team that works from the idea stage to completed project and finished plant in industry. With our broad and deep expertise, we have the opportunity to help both our customers and each other to succeed and develop.
The section is a group of people with varied backgrounds where we have different knowledge and accumulated different long experience in the field. What we have in common is that we do the best we can to help each other in our assignments and help our customers so that we can develop and learn from and with each other. Given the good spread of experience we have, there is always a colleague who has worked on a similar issue before who can help you take the next step in the assignment.
Requirements specification
To fit into a role as an assignment leader, you need to have leadership qualities and enjoy working with people. You have good communication skills with others and the ability to structure and coordinate work. You take responsibility towards clients and follow schedules and budgets with habit and previous experience. In your role as a project manager, your technical knowledge is important and we want you to have experience as an electrical engineer and have led smaller projects/sub-projects before. You also have a theoretical basis in the form of a university education in the relevant field in your background.
Your personality is important for the position and since you sometimes work in parallel assignments, you need to be able to create structure in your everyday life and to be able to manage your assignments and projects in the best way for both yourself and your customers. As a person, it is also important that you can inspire confidence in our clients; that you are communicative and a person who enjoys being AFRY's representative with clients. You have a natural openness and curiosity for new assignments. These qualities also lead to new assignments by listening to your clients' needs and not being afraid to "raise your hand" when they need help. Either you are the right person for the job or it is a colleague.
In a mix of local and international customer contacts, we require you to have good knowledge, both oral and written, in both Swedish and English. Some travel is a natural part of our work and we therefore wish that you have a driving license.
