About the role

Repair Development Engineer

The ILS & Repair Development department performs technical product support within Engine Systems and After Market, with a close connection to the end users. The department has a product support responsibility for customer products. We provide field service support, integrated logistics support such as parts forecasting, repair development, product monitoring, technical publications, and analysis and investigation of engine component hardware and function.

Examples of our services are decision support and recommendations regarding the handling or function of the engine and its components. Our main goal is to produce user manuals for various programs. Today the department consists of 29 people, but we need to expand due to increased workload combined with future challenges in developing repair concepts. The department has extensive experience in engine systems, ranging from product development to product support.

About the Role

Typical tasks for a repair development engineer with a focus on repair concepts are:

- Responsible for identifying, initiating and developing new repairs for military and civilian engines.

- In close cooperation with design engineers, production and MRO identify potential needs for new repairs and evaluate and calculate whether proposed repairs are profitable to use or not.

- Lead and be responsible for repair cases: planning, business case, substantiate etc. from start to delivery of technical documentation, test repairs, analysis etc.

Qualifications and experience:

We are looking for you who are comfortable taking a lot of individual responsibility as well as being part of a team. You will have technical and analytical skills with an interest in deepening your knowledge for repair development of engine parts. You should feel comfortable communicating with other functions both internally and externally. Furthermore, we look for you to be able to contribute to a positive atmosphere. We place great emphasis on personal suitability!

Requirements for the position are:

 Academic engineering degree, university studies or equivalent knowledge gained through experience

 Have experience from production/manufacturing in industry  Good knowledge of speech and writing in both English and Swedish

 Knowledge of drawing reading and form/mode is meritorious

This is an assignment described as a hire purchase, ie. consulting assignment at AFRY first to then be able to lead to employment with the client.
