About the role

The section in Jönköping belongs to the Advanced Automation business area, with approximately 700 employees around Sweden. Here you will be part of a team of about 20 people with expertise in electrical design, programming, machine safety, project management and electrical inspection. In addition to our own client base, we support other AFRY divisions with specialist expertise, which gives us a wide variety of projects. We see a continued great interest in our services and would like to develop these further - and hope that you are one of those we are looking for!

We are looking for you who want to be involved in developing and taking a leading role in our team of electrical designers, which currently consists of three people and where we now see good opportunities in the market where we want to advance and take on more complex and larger projects. You will have the opportunity to shape your team and how you will work by developing a way of working, planning resources, being involved in the projects from idea stage to finished work, organizing new standards and routines for how the work should be done and helping to shape how you work together as a team. As you have extensive experience from the industry, we also see that you will be involved in customer meetings that relate to your expertise, where you get to build your own business. In the short term, you will work and be closely supported by the section manager and other experienced employees in the section, then in the long term we hope that you can take on a team leader role for our electrical designers similar to how we work on the automation side of the section. However, the role of team leader requires a larger team, so we will also give you the opportunity to be involved in recruiting new employees to the electrical design team.

We work almost exclusively on projects in industry, where working methods vary depending on the assignment. In short, they can currently involve everything from design work in the form of the construction of cabinets, or upgrades in existing systems, to new construction and construction of completely new systems. Your role will probably also include tasks such as commissioning, system descriptions and project management, etc.

Requirements

To succeed in the role, we would like you to:

  • Have many years of work experience in electrical design for industrial operations.
  • Have worked with tools such as Eplan and ElproCAD.
  • Is used to leading and coaching less experienced employees.
  • Enjoys setting up routines and processes for efficient project implementation.
  • Enjoys participating in customer meetings and contributing to sales work.

With the above in mind, we believe that you value working with others, creating commitment and like to take responsibility in your work. We also see it as very meritorious if you have great local knowledge with your own existing network, and therefore already have an idea of what types of customers and projects you think we should take on.

However, the most important thing for us is not that you meet all of the characteristics mentioned above, but that you have the potential and drive to get there. What you must have with you, however, is good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing. As well as a B-driving license as shorter trips to clients' operations are part of the role.
