We at the Advanced Automation section in Västerås work with really exciting projects where we contribute with expertise and knowledge for technology-intensive automation services to our customers. Locally, we work with the market's largest customers in exciting projects that are partly run in-house in our own project operations, and partly out at our customers. Our customers and assignments are in several sectors of industry. In the section, we are currently 16 colleagues working with automation, electrical design, programming and inspection. In our team there are people with different backgrounds and competencies that differ and complement each other. We now want to continue to grow with more colleagues as we see a great need for our expertise in the market and with our customers in the future. We are therefore looking for expertise in several areas for our section: Electrical Designers, Automation Engineers, Aveva Engineers and Technical Project Managers.
About the role
Your role as an electrical designer will include design work of, among other things, cabinets, upgrades in existing systems but also new construction of completely new systems. You will also work with commissioning, system descriptions and / or project management in electricity depending on interest and experience. You will work on a broad portfolio of projects, such as nuclear power, water treatment and production industry. You will most likely work with some of AFRY's largest clients either under AFRY's auspices or directly in clients' operations. The assignments and projects are mainly local, and often with clients that are recurring. In some projects you follow the client's standard and in some projects you set the standard; your expertise is therefore crucial to the success of our clients and AFRY.
Requirement specification

That said, we know that together we need to create the right conditions for this, which is why we also value your collaboration and communication skills as well as your initiative. To succeed well and thrive in the role, we believe that you:
- Have a technical education at high school or college level, or have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way.
- Have at least 3 years of experience, but preferably longer, in electrical construction in industry and are self-driven.
- Good knowledge of any CAD tool, such as Elprocad, Elmaster, Engineering Base, E3, Eplan or equivalent.
- Hold a B driving license as there may be travel in the service.
- Can communicate very well in both Swedish and English.
