About the role
AFRY continues to invest in the market in the south and therefore we have now started a new construction section. The section will focus on expanding within the region we call "Upper South": From Kalmar to Jönköping to Hässleholm to Växjö. Here you get a unique chance to be involved in shaping a whole new department, everything from customers, culture, colleagues, working methods and much more.
In the role of supervising/assignment leading designer, you will be responsible for execution and quality, as well as support in resource planning, times and finances. Supervision and training of junior consultants is a natural part of your work, which you appreciate.
In the office you will meet colleagues from both your own section and from other sections within Buildings disciplines such as Plumbing, Electrical, Energy, Fire, Control, etc.
Your role will largely be adaptable to your own wishes and ambitions. If you want, we see great opportunities in the long run to become an important cog in collaborative projects between the customer and the project team. We offer a workplace that gives you great confidence in your work. We provide you with backup when you need it, as the expertise and resources are within the company. If you like to combine work both in the office and at home, we are flexible.
The position is a permanent position. You can choose the location freely between our offices in the Upper South.
Requirements
We hope that you have a theoretical construction engineering education at post-secondary or university level. Alternatively, equivalent knowledge from another body.
You have at least 10 years of experience as a Construction Engineer and enjoy taking responsibility for what you do. During your career, you have had time to get to know the industry and advantageously created long-term relationships with customers. You have experience in the design of load-bearing structures in concrete, steel and wood.
Of course, you have good computer skills when it comes to relevant software for the industry such as Tekla and / or Revit.
You identify opportunities and solve problems with creativity and communication both internally and with the client, with the ability to assess feasibility at the construction stage. Listening, understanding and working to fulfill the client's needs and daring to propose alternative solutions when needed, with insight into our client's business or mission is important to you.
