About the role

Do you want to work as a consultant with product development in several industries? Do you want to create new products and ensure that new technical solutions benefit users?

AFRY is looking for systems engineers to take technical leadership in the development of products and services within our Connected Products business area. As a Systems Engineer, you are the driving force in defining new products based on user needs and possible technical solutions. You are the hub of the development team, linking the different development disciplines. The role also involves ensuring that the whole works and meets user needs through all phases of product development.

Typical tasks include:

• Interact with business owners, project managers and development teams to define project and product
• Define product and system requirements and break down system requirements into underlying requirement levels
• Define system architecture and concepts
• Build and test prototypes and functional models
• Plan and execute verification activities
• Act as technical project manager and drive the planning of development activities
• Take overall responsibility for the technical documentation

Requirements

You have several years of experience in product development projects. You have a genuine interest in technology, which has given you a strong understanding of how products are built and work. Of course, you enjoy finding technical solutions to challenging problems!

Requirements for the position are:

• M.Sc. Engineering Physics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in product development, preferably from initiation to market launch
• Work experience of some or any of the following: Integration, testing and verification in product development projects, formulation of product and system requirements
• Good communication skills and have easy to make yourself understood both in Swedish and English in speech and writing.
• Resident in Sweden
