Our high-tech customer in Trollhättan is currently in an exciting and highly expansive phase and needs the support of a system engineer in aircraft engines. The department where the assignment is carried out works mainly with product support activities linked to jet engines but also works with development and upgrades. A large part of the business is focused on JAS 39 Gripen engines, but also stationary gas turbines and development of next-generation engine concepts are included in the business.

They now want to strengthen their team that works with various engine subsystems such as fuel systems, oil systems, etc.m. 

Typical tasks included in this role are mainly:

  • Support in troubleshooting, problem solving and investigation work linked to the use of engines in service or during maintenance / testing
  • Participate in product development from concept (inc. engine test) to implementation
  • Technology development/concept development linked to future engine concepts, propulsion systems or further electrification of existing engines
  • You will be given the opportunity to meet and collaborate with customers, end users and other partners
  • Part of the service is to broaden your knowledge in your area of responsibility at both component and system level

  • The role will be adapted to the candidate's skills and experience

The team works closely with the product and its maintenance, which provides good opportunities to participate in testing and other maintenance activities

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, we expect this from you:

  • High school or University degree in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, electrical engineering, aeronautics or equivalent
  • Fluent Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
  • As a person, you are well organized and structured, driven, thorough and positive
  • You are also curious and interested in learning and building skills in our areas of expertise
  • Furthermore, we believe that you are a team player with a humble approach
  • Travel may be required, primarily within Sweden but also internationally may be relevant

Advantageous

  • Experience from jobs in the aerospace industry or from working with fuel systems, oil systems, hydromechanical and electrical devices (pumps, regulators, FADEC etc.Experience and knowledge in bearings, gears, hydraulics and pump technology is also an advantage. For some positions, this may entail a requirement for certain citizenship. A criminal record check and drug screening are also required prior to appointment to the role.
