About the role

Are you a driven and analytical systems engineer with a strong interest in embedded systems development? Then this could be the next step in your career!

As a Systems Engineer at AFRY, you will be an important part of our team developing the future of embedded products and systems. You will work in a dynamic environment where we combine technical expertise with close collaboration with our customers and colleagues. In the role, you will work with the entire development chain, from requirements management and system design to integration and verification, always with the goal of delivering solutions of the highest quality.

You will handle varied technical challenges, such as:

  • Requirements management and systemization for complex embedded systems.
  • Design and implementation of software in C for SoC, as well as debugging and optimization at the hardware level.
  • Planning and implementation of tests, both system integration and black-box tests.
  • Work in agile environments and use tools such as Git, Jenkins and Polarion for efficient development.

With us, you will also have the opportunity to act as a link between technology and organization by supporting teams and product owners in planning, backlog prioritization and removing obstacles that may arise during the course of projects.

Development opportunities

AFRY's embedded sections in Gothenburg are growing, and we offer exciting opportunities to develop in several different technology areas. We work with everything from embedded software and hardware to advanced Linux solutions, C/C++, electronics and systems development.

With our own lab in our office, we can take on turnkey projects where we deliver complete solutions from concept to final product. We also offer the opportunity to work on customer sites, which gives you the chance to build a broad network and gain experience from different industries. There is room for you to grow, develop new skills and contribute to groundbreaking projects.

Requirements

We are looking for you who have experience working with complex systems and a passion for solving technical challenges. To succeed in the role, we would like you to have:

  • Experience in system development and requirements management for embedded systems, including system design and integration testing.
  • Good knowledge of software development in C for SoC in an embedded context.
  • Experience in modern development processes, such as backlog refinement, test-driven development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI/CD).
  • Experience using tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Polarion and Jira.
  • Previous work in Automotive Software and with processes such as ASPICE, Scrum and Kanban.

We believe that you are a curious and analytical person who can quickly familiarize yourself with new technical environments and challenges. You thrive in a role where collaboration and knowledge sharing are key, and you are a strong team player who contributes to creating a positive and productive work environment. With your solution-oriented attitude and structured approach, you always strive to deliver the highest quality results. Your drive to develop, both technically and personally, makes you a valuable asset to the team and a valued colleague.
