Company Description

AFRY is a leading European company with global reach in technology, design and consulting. We accelerate the transition towards a sustainable society. We are 19,000 dedicated experts in infrastructure, industry, energy and digitalization, creating sustainable solutions for future generations.

We at the Advanced Automation section in Gothenburg and Varberg are about 55 colleagues with a common interest in technology, automation, electrical design and sustainability. We work in various roles, including technical project managers, automation engineers and electrical designers. Our team has grown over the past few years and our backgrounds and competencies differ and complement each other. We think it's important to have fun at work, to share lessons and challenges and to want to develop - we feel best and perform best when we do it as a team. We now want to continue to grow with more colleagues as we see a great need for our expertise in the market and with our customers in the future. We are therefore recruiting colleagues in several areas to our section right now; project management, electrical design and automation.

In the section, we work with really exciting projects where we contribute with expertise and knowledge for technology-intensive automation services to our customers. Locally, we work with the market's largest customers in exciting projects that are partly run in-house in our own project operations and partly at our customers. Our customers and assignments are found in a number of sectors, but mainly in industry, infrastructure and energy, and we run future projects in areas such as production and research and development. In some projects you follow the client's standard and in some projects you set the standard; your expertise is therefore crucial to the success of our clients and AFRY.

About the role

As a Technical Project Manager at AFRY, you drive the development of our clients' industrial solutions, often in the automotive, electrical and automation sectors. You are part of a larger team of driven project managers with a strong development focus in the department. You will work with us to create the technical solutions of the future for our customers. Together we create more modern solutions and help our customers be at the forefront of various automation solutions.

As a project manager, you will lead one or more technical projects, which essentially means being responsible for planning, monitoring and coordinating internal and external resources in clients' as well as AFRY's internal projects. The role can involve both leading your own projects or participating in larger projects as a sub-project manager, coordinator or similar.

For you as a project manager at AFRY, the development opportunities are great. You have access to various forums for experience exchange, networks, training and development programs. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop in collaboration with a large group of experienced specialists and get a wide network of contacts with the industry's most important clients. We are keen to collaborate, network and meet within the team for social and development activities.

Requirements

The most important thing for us is your communication skills and teamwork. In addition, we expect you to be a committed person who takes initiative and creates the best conditions for achieving set goals in your work, and combines this with a humble attitude and curiosity. People around you usually describe you as a person with good planning skills, relationship building and the ability to work with many contact surfaces. We also believe that you are motivated by working in a varied and dynamic work environment and have an interest in leading and engaging others. We also believe that you have:

  • Appropriate technical education and/or equivalent experience.
  • Some years of experience as a project manager in industry or infrastructure, where you have gained knowledge of how projects are run technically, financially, time and resource-wise.
  • Experience in industrial automation and understanding of how projects in the field are conducted.
  • Have a B driving license.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

We see it as very meritorious if you have also worked in the automotive, process or water industry, or have experience in charging infrastructure, hydrogen or IT / OT.
