About the role
The role as a test engineer includes assignments in station control for production plants, industrial plants and transformer and switching stations where we are often responsible for the design, testing and commissioning of the control facility.
In this role, you will be a specialist in testing and commissioning, and have a key role in contributing with your knowledge, experience and experience of testing various relay protection functions and using the necessary test equipment. As a tester with us, you are often involved all the way to commissioning and energization of power plants.
Our section, Electric Power at AFRY in Trollhättan, is a group of 11 colleagues today. With us, you are part of a team that works from idea stage to completed project and finished plant in industry. With our broad and deep expertise, we have the opportunity to help both our customers and each other to succeed and develop. We like to learn from each other and do fun things together. We run advanced electrical power projects for our external customers, ranging from heavy petrochemical operations to vehicle development/manufacturing to complex hospital facilities. We also support the various divisions within AFRY with our specialist expertise in electrical power. This means that we are present throughout AFRY's customer base, which is incredibly exciting.
Requirement specification
We are looking for you who have a few years of experience in a similar role in relay protection testing and commissioning, or you have acquired equivalent knowledge through work experience. It is also positive if you have attended courses in the area, such as relay protection technology or similar.
You also need to be able to drive your work forward in this role in a self-driven and structured way, as you work independently and with responsibility for this area with us. As a person, you are responsible and have good social skills. As a consultant with us, you come into contact with customers daily and therefore we value good communication skills and the ability to build trust with others.
You also need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing, as these languages are central to being able to have a dialog with our customers. Furthermore, you need to have a B driving license as travel is included in the service.
If you have experience of ABB's or Schneider's relay protection and automation systems and / or practical experience as a service / industrial electrician or in some way are used to working with electricity / electric power in practice, it is a bonus for us, but not a requirement. We attach great importance to your personal qualities and your curiosity, responsibility and commitment.
