AFRY is one of Sweden's largest consultants in Transmission and Distribution. We are about 200 consultants in the electricity network area and we are currently running Sweden's largest electricity network project. We operate in an international environment and run many international assignments and collaborations.

AFRY has a long and successful history in the energy industry, and our Energy Division is proud to offer a comprehensive portfolio of services in energy generation, distribution and storage. As consultants and advisors, we help policy makers, energy companies, industrial players, developers, financiers and end-users to define appropriate measures during all stages of the energy transition. We aim to be a leader in the Clean Energy concept, which means a transition to clean, renewable and sustainable power and heat production.
We are in an expanding industry and now see an increased need to strengthen ourselves in the management of very large projects. We are therefore now looking for you who want to contribute to the energy transition and the security of Sweden's electricity supply in the role of scheduler with us.

In the role of scheduler, you will work closely with one or more project managers and be responsible for time planning in project management. The main task is to create and develop detailed schedules as well as to continuously follow up and update these. The size and content of the projects can vary, but mainly consist of large multidisciplinary projects in electricity networks and can include both the design of stations and lines, but also include technical areas such as environment, land and construction. You are responsible for ensuring that the various sub-projects and dependencies are coordinated and synchronized in an effective way, and in this way provide significant support to the project management. In the long term, we see that the role also offers the opportunity to run your own projects.

Qualifications

At the same time, your accuracy and ability to work methodically are equally important, as it ensures that projects are handled in a structured way from start to finish.  

As we operate in a customer-oriented environment with many contact areas, we are also looking for you who are motivated by building and nurturing good relationships - both with customers and colleagues. We see this as the best foundation for creating trust with customers and for giving the others in the group the best conditions to succeed.

Furthermore, we see that you have:

• Several years of experience in a role as a scheduler, sub-project manager, project manager or equivalent
• Relevant engineering education at university level or equivalent
• Experience with Microsoft Project
• Good knowledge of Swedish as it is frequently used within AFRY and with our customers

We see this as a merit:

• Experience with power grid projects or other civil engineering projects, such as.e.g. process plants, road or railroad projects
• Experience with Primavera Project Planner or other project planning tools

As the position may work in security classified areas, drug tests and security checks may be required before employment can begin.
