Company description

AFRY offers services in engineering, design, digitalization and consulting. We are dedicated experts in industry, energy and infrastructure, creating value for future generations. AFRY has a global reach with deep roots in the Nordics. Together, we are accelerating the transition to a more sustainable society.

About the role

AFRY's Food & Pharma business area is a leading player in Scandinavia, working with clients in pharmaceuticals, biotech and medtech to create innovative and sustainable solutions. We are present in several countries, helping our clients create the food and life science industry of the future.

At AFRY, we believe in the power of diversity and collaboration. We share ideas and knowledge, challenge and support each other to develop further. We understand the importance of flexibility and a good work-life balance.

We are a dedicated team focused on helping our Life Science clients in Mälardalen. You will have colleagues based in our offices in Solna, Uppsala and Södertälje and we are flexible with which office you start from.

Are you looking for new challenges in validation - maybe the next step is with us?

About the role:

We are looking for you who want to continue to develop in validation, either as a validation engineer or validation leader. The validation work is mainly carried out at our customers or sometimes internally at AFRY. It can involve validating production equipment or analytical equipment in the lab, and covers everything from entire production lines to individual machines or smaller lab equipment. The role involves planning, documenting and executing DQ, FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ and/or leading validation and qualification activities, depending on your experience and skills.

As a Validation Leader, you will have a central role in coordinating a team of validation engineers. An important part of your responsibility will be to coach and support your junior colleagues, acting as a mentor and contributing to their development - an effort that will be highly appreciated by the team.

The role may also involve travel when performing FAT, both within Sweden and in Europe.

Requirements

To succeed and thrive in this role, we believe you have the following experience and competencies:

  • Relevant Master's, Master's or Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience in similar roles in Life Science
  • You express yourself fluently in English and Swedish, both in speech and writing.
  • You have solid experience in GMP.

As a person, you are independent, meticulous and like to keep track of all the details. Planning, structuring and problem solving come naturally to you. You are good at documenting and organizing. Like us, you are a team player who wants to develop in your role while sharing your experience with more junior colleagues and thriving in the role of mentor. You have an easy time communicating and collaborating with both colleagues and customers.

Last but not least; we believe that you recognize yourself in and live by our values (brave, devoted and team player) in everyday life.

You will belong to the office in Solna, Södertälje or Uppsala. We prefer that you have a B-driving license and that you are commutable, as our customers are located throughout Mälardalen.

When applying, please answer the following questions in the answer field "Message to the Hiring Team":

1. What are your most relevant Master's, Master's or Bachelor's degree(s) for the role?

2. How many years of experience do you have in similar roles in Life Science?

3. How many years of experience do you have working with GMP and GxP respectively?

4. Are you fluent in English, both spoken and written?

5. Are you fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written?
