Some of the things you’ll do
As a Production Technician at Altris, you will play a key role in scaling up and refining the production of sodium-ion battery prototypes and test samples. You will operate and maintain production equipment, conduct quality checks, and contribute to optimizing our manufacturing processes. Working at the forefront of Sodium-Ion technology, you’ll help develop safer, more sustainable, and cost-effective battery solutions using raw materials like salt, wood, and iron. With our recent investment from Clarios, a global leader in advanced battery solutions, you’ll be part of an innovative and rapidly growing company shaping the future of energy storage and transport.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
- Operate manufacturing equipment for sodium-ion battery cell production, ensuring alignment with assembly schedules and quality specifications.
- Follow established work instructions to ensure consistent assembly and high-quality standards of the battery cells.
- Perform regular quality inspections and tests on components and assembled cells, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and design standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process issues, collaborating with the development team to resolve problems in real time.
- Maintain precise records of activities, including materials used, work completed, and any challenges encountered.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously, ensuring the proper handling of chemicals, materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Contribute to process improvements by providing feedback on production methods, suggesting optimizations for efficiency and quality enhancement.
- Be adaptable, willing to work across different areas as needed, based on shifting needs.
What We´re looking for
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Vocational or technical training related to manufacturing, electronics, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work instructions
- Competence in using basic hand tools and measurement instruments
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, etc.) for data entry, report generation, and documentation
- Knowledge of industry safety protocols and the ability to maintain a safe working environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with effective communication skills
