We look forward to your application with us!From the fall of 2024, the adapted school from grade 1 to upper secondary level and associated after-school care is an area of activity. Älvsbyn has previously not been able to offer an upper secondary education for students in the adapted school, so one of the first areas to develop is to see how we can design this education. We are therefore looking for a part-time principal who wants to make a difference and wants to be involved in shaping the future. Duties and responsibilities The task of a principal includes leading and planning the systematic quality work with the development of the activities in focus. As a principal, you are responsible for finances, personnel, work environment, quality and school development. You are the employer's extended arm. As principal, you are responsible for ensuring that the unit works on the basis of policy documents, follows up, evaluates and takes improvement measures based on decisions made. You will, within the given financial framework, organize for learning, where collegial collaboration, varied and formative teaching are key words and promote collaboration in order to increase the school's goal achievement. Together with other principals in preschool, compulsory school, upper secondary school and adult education, you are part of the head of school's management team. Qualifications You have an adequate university education and previous experience of working in the school sector. You will have pedagogical insight gained through training and experience. You may have experience in leadership, for example as a principal or other staff leader. If you have training as a principal or other leadership training, this is highly advantageous. To lead and develop the organization towards higher goal achievement, you as a principal must have good leadership skills and knowledge of issues related to teaching, learning and knowledge development. You must understand and be able to relate to a complex mission with political control, at both national and municipal level. You demonstrate leadership by directing, motivating and empowering others to effectively achieve common goals. You have good decision-making skills and take responsibility by showing good judgment in actions and decisions. You communicate clearly and ensure that messages get across. You have the ability to manage resources effectively, reflecting the priorities of the business. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
