Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Biotech Product Engineer, based in the northern part of Sweden, to drive the development, optimization and testing of our algae-based packaging materials. This role is perfect for someone who loves to work in the lab and has a can-do attitude. Someone who is excited to take the initiative and make a tangible impact on our product and the environment. You will play a critical role in our R&D efforts, working closely with our management team to bring innovative packaging solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead research and development work focused on algae-based packaging materials.

  • Conduct lab work to develop and enhance the performance and sustainability of our products.

  • Contribute ideas and take the initiative to improve processes and drive innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong technical skills in laboratory techniques.

  • Strong research skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team.

  • A can-do attitude with a proven track record of coming forward with initiatives and problem-solving.

  • Passion for sustainability and a strong desire to eliminate plastic waste from the packaging industry.

  • Proficiency in English, Swedish is a bonus to have, but not mandatory

  • 3-5 years of experience in biotechnology or material science, particularly in the development of sustainable materials or biopolymers (optional).
