EHS Manager for Baxter Luleå

At our production facility in Alvik, Luleå, we produce personal lifts, slings and other accessories. Our products are used to lift and move people at nursing homes, special schools, hospitals and in homes all over the world. We won the Swedish Lean Award in 2021 so our Lean work and continuous improvements are a natural part of our business where you will have an important role.

About the position

Do you want to be part of a global organization with good values and socially important purpose? If yes, then this could be for you! We are now looking for an EHS manager (Environment, health, safety) for our production facility in Alvik, Luleå.

In the role of EHS manager, you have the main responsibility for independently developing, implementing and following up activities related to work environment, safety, health and environment. You work both operationally and strategically. Important tasks and responsibilities are:

• Plan and implement projects and programs aimed at ensuring the company's goals and strategies regarding EHS performance
• Conduct risk assessments, risk analyses and investigations according to established procedures and laws
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, Baxter standards, internal and external audits (ISO 14001)
• Strategic improvement work and preventive measures
• Train and inform managers and employees about EHS and drive the safety culture forward
• Follow up and ensure EHS information in the management system, and other EHS related systems
• Keep up to date on new laws and trends in the field

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant university degree in the field and good documented competence in EHS and relevant standards. You should have at least 3 years of experience in independent EHS work in the manufacturing industry or similar industry. It is meritorious with experience of working in global organizations.

As a person, you are a leader who is driven by continuous improvement, structure and collaboration. You possess good ability to analyze, coordinate and drive results. You are used to independently driving your work forward and communicating with all parties in the organization. You have very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and very good knowledge of Swedish and English both orally and in writing
