The Public Works Administration shall with a forward-looking approach make available, maintain, manage and develop the municipality's physical environment, infrastructure and transport. The work of the administration is permeated by cooperation, holistic approach and efficient use of resources. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is sustainable in the long term from an ecological, social and economic point of view. The Public Works Administration consists of the following operational areas: Spatial Planning, Water, Sewerage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests and Real Estate, Environment and Construction. The Projects and Investment unit manages and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments. The Technical Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of water and sewage, waste management, parks and playgrounds, streets and traffic, public transport and transport services. It also coordinates the municipality's company cars and heavy vehicles. The department consists of around 60 employees with a wide range of skills. WORK TASKS As a plant worker, you will be part of a well-knit team of about 15 employees who provide the best possible service to the municipality's clients and citizens. Together we do everything we can to ensure that the citizens of the municipality have the best possible society to live in. Your main tasks are in the operation and maintenance of streets and the sanitation of water and sewage in existing streets. Work on the construction of new streets and roads, as well as all water and sewerage work, is an important part of your duties. Your flexibility and breadth will also mean that you will often work on a wide variety of tasks outside your normal area of activity. Examples of common tasks are pipe laying, pipeline construction, woodwork including the construction of pumping stations, etc. Remodeling and new construction of streets, footpaths and cycle paths, plans and parking lots are also included in the tasks, as well as maintenance of many of the municipality's facilities and otherwise everything that may be required in the business. You will work throughout the municipality, although most of your work will be in the vicinity of the city. Water and sewerage emergency response may be part of the service and assisting other groups in the Technical Department. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for people who have: - Secondary education - Good computer skills - Driving license B - Experience of civil engineering work Land/VA - Or experience deemed equivalent by the employer The following would be an advantage: - Experience in leak detection - Education Chainsaw class AB - Training Food hygiene in distribution facility - Knowledge in drafting - Experience in water and sewerage work in streets and land and reconstruction of streets. - Experience in new construction of streets. - Experience in the operation and maintenance of roads and ancillary facilities. - experience in surveying and measuring instruments - Knowledge/experience of signage works. - Good knowledge of material knowledge in water and sewerage networks. - Experience in PE welding. - Experience with pumping stations - Safe lifting - Road work training 1-2 We are looking for people who like to work with others but also to perform their tasks independently.
