The work of the administration is permeated by cooperation, holistic approach and efficient use of resources. The Public Works Administration consists of the following operational areas: Spatial Planning, Water, Sewerage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests and Real Estate, Environment and Construction. The Projects and Investment unit manages and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments. Customers come to the recycling centers (ÅVC) to leave what they do not want anymore. Encouraging reuse reduces the amount of waste and the need for new products, saving natural resources and energy. What cannot be reused should be sorted correctly for the best possible recycling. WORK TASKS We are looking for vacation substitutes for the Brännkläppen Recycling Center in Boden municipality. We need environmental workers for varying periods of time starting April 28. The work is varied and involves managing the daily operations in an efficient, safe and environmentally sound manner. You will also perform assignments with our waste service car. The customer meeting is in focus, and you inform and provide guidance on waste management to the municipality's citizens. We work to prevent waste and encourage recycling. The work includes reception control of hazardous waste, sorting, reloading and handling of waste containers. It can be physically demanding and mostly takes place outdoors. Work in the slurry plant may also be included, which involves loading food waste with wheel loaders, changing containers and monitoring the process from food waste to slurry. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who speak Swedish and can make yourself understood in English. Requirement for the position is a B-driving license. Since the work involves a lot of customer contact, we are looking for you who are social, service-oriented and who have great social skills. You easily seek contact with customers on the ramp, you are easy to communicate and guide, and give everyone a good treatment with good patience both municipal residents and colleagues.
