The rescue service in Boden is looking for a driven Fire Engineer / Fire Inspector for our accident prevention unit. You want to help shape our business in a time of exciting social change. Our mission is not only to save lives and property, but to actively work preventively to minimize risks and create security for the future all to create a safe Boden. We are a strong team that collaborates with 19 municipalities, from Kiruna in the north to Nordmaling in the south, to create safe and effective rescue operations wherever the accident occurs. JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Fire Engineer / Fire Inspector with us, you will have a dynamic work and the tasks will focus on both accident prevention and operational work. The work in the preventive area will, among other things, deal with the management of permits and supervision according to the law on flammable and explosive goods, carry out supervision according to the law on protection against accidents, collaborate with industry and support the exercise of authority in the construction process.
And yes, it gets more exciting, you are also part of the response leader preparedness that will be built up, which means that during your emergency shifts you are ready to lead operations in our area. In addition, there will be opportunities for you to take an overall leadership role within our joint rescue management system in the future.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have or are working towards a fire engineer degree with additional training in rescue services (RUB) or equivalent experience as a fire inspector and have training in rescue management. You like to think outside the box and in the right situation, you are happy to try new approaches to learn more about yourself and the organization. Communicating is a key part of your job and therefore it is essential that you can express yourself clearly both in writing and orally.
A driving license (class B) is required.
