The municipality of Boden is in an expansive phase. The rescue service needs to grow in line with the development of society and intends to expand our operational department. We are therefore looking for 3-4 firefighters to strengthen our organization. We are a strong team that collaborates with 19 municipalities, from Kiruna in the north to Nordmaling in the south, to create safe and effective rescue operations regardless of where the accident occurs. Our focus is to act quickly and efficiently to minimize damage and save lives. We are now looking for you to strengthen our team and lead us into the future. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a firefighter with us, you will be part of a team where we work together to achieve our goals. Our work climate is characterized by joy, commitment and stimulation. After introductory training, you work as a firefighter in the emergency team, 80% operational and 20% resource time on a 5-week schedule where you serve 2 weekends out of 5. The tasks are, for example, the implementation of rescue operations, maintenance of vehicles and equipment, preparatory work and the like. Preventive activities are also part of the work, such as training and information to the public, but supervision according to LSO may also be relevant. The resource time is scheduled for daytime on weekdays and should provide more space to devote to project work, focus areas, training and other things where it is an advantage not to be on call. QUALIFICATIONS We believe that you have completed the training Protection against accidents (SMO), or are graduating VT-25 and have a driving license, category C to be supplemented with category CE before the end of the probationary period (6 months). You must be physically fit and be able to swim and have water experience. These qualities will be checked and tested in the recruitment procedure, see further under Other. Experience as a firefighter is an advantage, as is a CE driving license, chainsaw license, medical training for emergency care and other relevant professional training or professional experience.
