A lot of positive things are happening in the municipality of Boden with new large-scale business establishments in the coming years, which requires cooperation, a holistic approach and efficient use of resources, both within and between administrations. For the Employment and Education Administration, this means that the administration's processes will be challenged as new establishments require that there is access to preschool, school and employment for those who come to Boden and that our employees show good hospitality to give them a good reception. Integration, labor market, education and employment issues that affect Boden municipality's residents are brought together within the Employment and Education Administration. The Employment and Education Administration is also responsible for food services, cultural schools and central student health. The administration has about 990 employees and is divided into 6 areas of activity: preschool, compulsory school incl. IB, upper secondary school, labor market and learning, food activities and School Development Center. The Labor Market and Education Administration is now looking for an IB coordinator to develop and coordinate the work at the International School of Boden, which teaches according to the International Baccalaureate, as well as work with operational management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As IB Coordinator, you have a key role in coordinating, developing and being responsible for administrative issues related to the International School of Boden - it is important that processes and routines contribute to the daily work of the school. The position also involves working with the development of presentation and marketing material of the school for social media, on the website and in printed material. As IB Coordinator, you will also work on the development of operational management at a cross-administrative level. You will be responsible for coordinating the administration's work on business planning and target monitoring and leading these processes that involve several functions within the municipal operations. The role of IB coordinator involves great demands on collaboration, you will meet many different people and actors, which requires a good sense of service and hospitality.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a relevant academic degree in education, humanities or social sciences. As an IB coordinator, you will act as the face of the International School of Boden, so you need to have a service-oriented approach. The position requires you to be fluent in spoken and written English and Swedish, as well as having good administrative skills. Experience of working in municipal operations with school issues, development, planning and follow-up work is an advantage.
