Torpgärdsskolan is located in a larger residential area about 5 km from the center of Boden, with its main catchment area - Bodsvedjan, Norrbyarna, Norra Svartbyn, Södra Svartbyn and Torpgärdan. The school has approximately 310 pupils from preschool class to year 6. We have three after-school departments - Galaxen and Kometen and Stjärnans fritidshem. Torpgärdsskolan has a large schoolyard with both forest and grass areas that give the children space to play. The proximity to the forest and nature contributes to the school's good opportunities for outdoor activities, skiing and skating. The school's profile is Health and Lifestyle and the school has the Torpis i rörelse project, which encourages movement and a healthy lifestyle. The project encourages brain breaks and movement challenges during the school day to give pupils the best conditions for acquiring new knowledge and good social skills. At Torpgärdsskolan, we think knowledge is cool and want students to have confidence in their own ability to learn and succeed. We work with collegial learning at the school to constantly develop our activities and are based on current research and development in that work. WORK TASKS As a leisure educator, you are responsible, together with the team, for ensuring that teaching in the leisure center is conducted in accordance with the objectives of the curriculum. During school hours, you interact in class, work with smaller groups or have break activities. This may also involve supporting pupils with special difficulties. You will work in a team of pleasant and positive colleagues who do everything to ensure that the pupils enjoy themselves and have the opportunity to develop optimally during school hours and after school. Adapting the activities to the children's needs and taking advantage of play as an important opportunity to learn is an important task in your work. All work is based on and well anchored in Lgr 22. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily looking for you who are a trained leisure educator or teacher specializing in leisure homes. Pedagogical education as well as knowledge and experience of working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities is an advantage. You are: - calm, confident, structured and clear. - good at building good relationships with students, parents and colleagues. - flexible and prepared to change according to the prevailing circumstances. - positive and interested in children's learning and development - good at working together and seeing collaboration as a success factor. OTHER We value age and gender balance and diversity in all professional areas. We have smoke-free working hours. We offer one wellness hour per week and a wellness allowance.
