The school has about 300 pupils from preschool class to year 6. We have the International School of Boden (PYP) for children aged 6-12 years. Torpgärdsskolan has a large schoolyard with both forest and grass areas that give the children space to play. The proximity to nature contributes to the school's good opportunities for outdoor activities, skiing and skating. The school's profile is Health and Lifestyle and with "Torpis in motion" we encourage movement and a healthy lifestyle. Do you want to develop in your role as a special education teacher together with us? We are looking for you who want to work as a special educator or special teacher at Torpgärdsskolan. The mission is to create the best possible conditions for all students to achieve the goals in collaboration with school management, student health team and teachers. You are also expected to lead various development efforts at the school within your area of expertise, individually and in collaboration with other special needs teachers and special educators in the principal's area. You will act as a spider in the web for students in need of special support, hold meetings and work closely with guardians, social services and BUP. You are available to support teachers in their work to develop adaptations in the classroom environment, as well as in small groups and individual work. You collaborate with all professional roles in the school, parents and authorities to create the best possible conditions for each student. Your work includes taking stock of the needs of the team and supervising teachers/educators/teams based on the different needs of pupils. You identify which interventions should be implemented, and work preventively to identify and remove obstacles in the students' various learning environments. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed special educator or special teacher with training and experience of students in need of special support. You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and are used to working in digital environments where you naturally use digital tools and platforms in your work. You can prioritize, motivate and lead others in student health work. You both want and can work independently as well as in teams and we want you to have a great interest in school development, value-based work and preferably an innovative approach to educational areas. You are confident in yourself; like people; have an easy time building relationships and enjoy working in teams. We expect you to contribute with a high level of commitment, a professional approach and that you take the initiative to constantly develop yourself and the business.
