The Public Works Administration shall with a forward-looking approach make available, maintain, manage and develop the municipality's physical environment, infrastructure and transport. The work of the administration is permeated by cooperation, holistic approach and efficient use of resources. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is sustainable in the long term from an ecological, social and economic point of view.
The Public Works Administration consists of the following operational areas: Spatial Planning, Water, Sewerage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests and Real Estate, Environment and Construction. The Projects and Investment unit manages and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments.

As a Traffic Officer in the Traffic Unit, you are one of 10 employees who work closely together and with great commitment to ensure the needs of all road user groups in terms of road safety, accessibility, attractiveness and accessibility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a traffic officer, you work widely in the field of traffic. The traffic officer has many contacts with citizens, politicians, consultants, contractors, road associations and authorities. In the role, you will cooperate with other departments/units within the municipality and the region.
The tasks include, among other things, handling and investigating traffic law issues, such as permit cases, granting of public space, grants to private roads and liability claims. Other tasks include submitting comments, responding to letters, providing information on the website, and being responsible for the unit's invoicing, payments, etc.
A large part of the service consists of purely administrative tasks and being a support for the exercise of authority in the daily work with traffic issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have at least upper secondary education and/or experience that the employer considers equivalent. It is an advantage if you have training or experience in transport, urban planning or economics. Experience of exercising authority or similar tasks in public activities is also an advantage.
As a traffic officer, you have internal and external contacts and it is therefore important that you can convey information in a clear and simple way. Your ability to handle the Swedish language in both speech and writing is good. You are a proficient user of Microsoft Office and comfortable working in various IT systems. As a person, you are committed, proactive and structured. You enjoy working both independently and in a team. We value judgment, service spirit and accuracy. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
Driving license B is a requirement for the position.
