Your role:

A Fire Protection Technician, you will work with Aitik's fire alarm and extinguishing systems. You are responsible for its supervision and control while coordinating the external maintenance to be done on the installations. The tasks also include, in collaboration with the departments, conducting fire protection rounds in the business and providing support when needed.

As the position is new to Aitik, you will be a driving force in designing standards and procedures and continuously developing the processes. Most of your work involves being able to work independently and take responsibility for the progress of your area of responsibility.

Your team:

The section you will work in is a group with varied tasks. It is a driven team with good cohesion of 10 employees where you report to Section Manager for Work Environment, Camilla Martinsson. The position is located in Aitik and work will take place both in an office environment and out in the field. Working hours are scheduled for daytime with flex.

Your tasks:

  • Quality assurance of fire protection work in Aitik and develop systematic documentation and supervision of fire protection facilities.
  • Facility manager for fire alarms and extinguishing systems
  • Coordinate measures based on third-party inspections of fire alarms and extinguishing systems
  • Systematize, document and follow up the work in your area of responsibility
  • Conduct fire protection rounds in the business and act as support to the departments when needed
  • Work with continuous improvements in the area of responsibility

To be qualified for the role, you have:

  • High school education
  • Experience in fire protection, fire alarm systems and / or extinguishing systems
  • Communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Driving license for passenger car

It is meritorious with:

  • Experience from working in emergency services
  • Experience in maintenance of fire protection systems
  • Good knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in fire protection
  • Knowledge of systematic fire protection work and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Good communication skills and pedagogical skills
  • Knowledge of Excel
  • Experience of working in maintenance systems, preferably Maximo
