Your role:
We are looking for a committed and strategic employee who wants to take responsibility for managing and developing Boliden's land and forests, as well as ensuring access to the land needed for our operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the land purchase process, contracts and other transactions regarding land needed for mining operations. You will also lead the sales process of forest products and manage the forests by hiring contractors for harvesting, thinning and forest management based on Boliden's policies and commitments. You are also driven to analyze, identify and implement continuous improvements. Your team:
You will be part of the Land Use and Community Relations Department, a group of 6 people working on forest management, real estate issues, social sustainability, biodiversity and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) coordination, among others.
Your tasks:
- Manage, coordinate, evaluate and develop Boliden's lands and forests
- Collaborate with contractors, authorities, indigenous communities and landowners
- Provide support to the local work of the mines where you are the expert in forest and land issues in projects and assignments
- Manage planning, monitoring and reporting of data
- Checking compliance with legislation and other requirements
- Benchmarking with internal and external networks to find best practices
- Correspondence with authorities regarding land and forests
- Coordinate common forest and land issues within Boliden Mines and develop strategies and procedures
- Ensure that forestry operations comply with laws, Boliden's policies and commitments
- Be involved in the work with Boliden's Sustainability Parks
Your contribution:
- University/college education in relevant areas such as forester, forester or equivalent work experience
- Experience from a similar role with real estate law issues
- Experience in negotiations and knowledge of relevant legislation would be an advantage
- Have an interest in biodiversity
- Driving license for a passenger car
