Your role:
The Technology Department in our Mining business area is tasked with developing both existing and new technologies, conducting studies and providing expertise. In the modern mine, automation, electrification and digitization are key words and in your role you will help drive that change. The Project Office in Boliden's Technology Department is responsible for implementing the mines' largest investment projects. As part of our project office, you will be a key person who ensures that the projects are carried out efficiently and with high quality where we prioritize health, environment and safety. Here we work together and you will have many contacts both internally and externally to help you run and implement the projects. The role is based in Boliden and there is some travel as the projects are conducted at our mines Aitik, Boliden area, Garpenberg, Tara and Kevitsa.
Your team:
We are now looking for two senior project managers to join our team which currently consists of seven project managers and one project administrator. You will all report to the Head of the Projects Department at Engineering.
Your tasks:
- Responsible, lead and coordinate pre-project and implementation projects on different sites
- Technical support
- Collaborate with the purchasing department, engineering department and other departments at Boliden
- Work with external resources and suppliers
- Follow technology developments in the outside world
Your contribution:
- University or college education preferably civil engineer or similar, or work experience that has given you equivalent knowledge
- Experience of project management
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, Finnish is considered a merit.
- Driving license for passenger car
It is an advantage if you have experience of working in project models, have worked in industry or have experience of project management in construction projects.
