Your role:

As a strategic buyer at Boliden Bergsöe, you have a crucial role in ensuring a secure supply of raw materials for production. The assignment also includes responsibility for the purchase of services and equipment for the operation and the sale of by-products. With the recent expansion of the business, you will manage increased purchasing and sales volumes and ensure that all processes run as efficiently and smoothly as possible. To succeed in this role, you need to be strategic, have strong problem-solving skills and be able to see the big picture to address challenges and optimize processes. As the role involves a lot of contacts both internally and externally, it is important that you are communicative and have a good ability to build relationships and collaborate.


Your team:

You will be part of our Finance and Administration department, working alongside a Buyer, a Logistics Manager, a Sales Administrator and three Finance staff, reporting to the Finance Manager. Your tasks:

  • Responsible for the purchase of metal raw materials, consumables, other raw materials and chemicals in accordance with purchasing procedures and economic conditions.
  • Support the organization in the purchase of technical equipment together with Boliden's purchasing department.
  • Identify needs, drive strategic purchasing issues, identify and analyze potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and prices.
  • Responsible for reporting environmental materials to authorities in accordance with regulations.
  • Responsible for the sale of waste and intermediate materials.


Your contribution:

  • University or college education in relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Several years of experience in purchasing work
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
  • Good computer skills
  • B-driving license

Previous experience in the process or production industry is an advantage. Knowledge and previous experience of developing and optimizing processes is also meritorious.
