Your role:

We are looking for a driven and committed supervisor for the operations center at our mine in Garpenberg. The operations center (DC) is a central function in the mine where detailed planning, coordination and monitoring of production takes place in real time. The DC is also a central resource in the mine's emergency preparedness. Here, five employees work in K3 shifts with short-term planning (about a couple of days ahead), while two employees work daytime 7-7 and work with a three-week planning horizon.

As a supervisor, you have a key role in leading and developing working methods, safety routines and production processes to ensure that we achieve our short-term production goals, which is crucial for meeting long-term plans and goals. You will be expected to have a close dialogue with the stakeholders and different departments of the Operations Centre to optimize cooperation and face challenges. With a strong and confident leadership style, the ability to see multiple perspectives and stick to routines even under pressure, you contribute to a stable and efficient production.


Your tasks:

  • Work management responsibilities, Lead and coach both shift and daytime staff with a focus on continuous development and efficiency.
  • Responsible for competence development
  • Process improvement (for the operations center), develop and implement standardized work methods and safety procedures. Contribute to the improvement of planning processes to optimize production.
  • Maintain a wide network of contacts with other departments, supervisors and section managers to develop how we operationally manage the mine, communicate and collaborate.
  • Ensure that the emergency preparedness procedures that affect the operations center are functional and up to date.


Your contribution:

  • A minimum of upper secondary education.
  • Several years of work experience from similar workplaces, eg. Mining, logistics center or operations center
  • Easy to learn and quickly absorb new information, especially in complex production environments.
  • Good ability to work in a structured way and prioritize based on the needs of the business
  • Good communication skills and ability to adapt messages to different audiences.
  • Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • B Driving license.
