Your role

Are you ready for an exciting challenge?

As a Technician, you will be responsible for our two ore crushers, parts of the mill hall and the thickener in the concentrator. You will be responsible for maintenance, improvement and preventive maintenance work on these facilities. The work is focused on creating structure and order in the tasks to prevent breakdowns and improve preventive maintenance. Keeping the life cycle plan of the plant in mind in daily work is a key role to succeed in the task.

You are expected to take responsibility for tasks in your area, both as a technical expert and as a project manager for maintenance and improvement measures. You lead and initiate improvement and development projects, hold technical meetings and are responsible for follow-up meetings with suppliers. Before and during maintenance stops, you play a key role in the maintenance needs in your area of responsibility, act as technical support and lead contractor work.

After a maintenance stop or project, you follow up the outcome and further develop work processes in the area. Working hours are divided between office work and work in the field.

Working hours are scheduled for daytime and emergency preparedness may be included.

Your team

You will be part of a dedicated and knowledgeable team that works closely with the operations, storage and electrical departments as well as contractors. You will work closely with purchasing, the engineering department, preparers, planners, technicians, mechanics and preventive maintenance. Together we strive to create a safe and efficient working environment.

Your tasks

  • Responsible for maintenance, improvement and preventive maintenance work on ore crushers, mill hall and thickeners.
  • Lead and initiate improvement and development projects.
  • Hold technical meetings and follow up meetings with suppliers.
  • Provide technical support and lead contractor work during maintenance stops.
  • Follow up the outcome of maintenance stops and further develop work processes.


Your contribution

  • High school education with a focus on technology or mechanics.
  • Experience from similar tasks in mining production or process industry.
  • Preferable with previous tasks towards crushing plants, mill halls and spare parts in heavy industry.
  • Computer skills and basic knowledge of the Office package.
  • Swedish and English in speech and writing and a driving license at least class B is a requirement.
  • Experience in the Maximo maintenance system and used to working in 800xA.


You have a communicative ability, great commitment and flexibility in both your way of working and dealing with people. The ability to be analytical, methodical and structured in critical situations is important to succeed in the role. You should have the ability to work both independently and in a team.
