Your role:

As Head of Unit at the Construction Unit at Rönnskär, you will be part of the Storage and Building Section. The Building Unit's mission is to be responsible for maintenance, renovation and extensions in all of Rönnskär's facilities. In the role of unit manager, you will lead a team of 20 employees consisting of carpenters and lubricators. You will be responsible for personnel planning, working methods, rehabilitation, performance reviews and skills development. The role also includes planning, preparing, coordinating and managing the unit's projects from start to finish. In addition to experienced staff, you will be supported by a large organization with support functions in all disciplines to which you will also contribute your expertise.

To succeed in this role, you are expected to have a coaching leadership style and value participation and collaboration. You are motivated by seeing others grow and develop, and you have the ability to spread positive energy and joy in your surroundings. You are a good communicator and therefore find it easy to build relationships and trust. We would like to see that you have a background in change management and that you are passionate about development and problem solving.

Your tasks:

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations by planning, preparing, coordinating projects and leading the team.
  • Plan and organize human resources.
  • Responsible for customer and supplier contacts.
  • Manage budget, staff and health and safety responsibilities.
  • Active on safety and health issues together with the team.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and support employees' skills development.
  • Lead and actively participate in improvement and development work.


Your contribution:

  • High school education with a relevant focus, for example the Construction program.
  • Several years of professional experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in leadership with responsibility for staff.
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.
  • Good IT skills.
  • B driving license.

It is advantageous if you have experience of project management, planning/preparation and procurement, as well as if you have experience as a site manager, site manager or production manager in construction.
