Boliden Garpenberg, located in Hedemora municipality, is one of the world's most modern and productive underground zinc mines. It is also Sweden's oldest mining area still in operation, with a history stretching back to 375 years before Christ. This mine extracts complex ores containing zinc, lead, silver, copper and gold. Operations are conducted with high standards of health, safety and the environment. We are looking for vacation temps for our operations in Garpenberg!

We offer exciting opportunities to work either underground in the mine, above ground in the Processing Plant, at the storage or at the Dam.

In your application, you will complete a questionnaire where you can indicate which roles interest you the most.

The interviews will be conducted digitally during January to March. Before an offer of employment is made, the final candidate will have to undergo a mandatory health check including alcohol and drug tests. These tests will be carried out continuously at our occupational health service in Hedemora municipality during the same period.

If necessary, we offer relevant training for the holiday substitution during the months of March-May 2025.

Requirement profile for vacation substitution 2025

The requirements for all positions are:

• High school education
• Have reached the age of 18 at the start of employment
• B driving license

Additional depending on the role is:

• Additional education/ongoing education in science, rock work, engineering, environment, chemistry or mineral technology, etc.m.
• Experience of similar work and / or previous work with us
• Truck license A1-4, B1-4
• Travers training
• Experience of Maximo (our financial system)
• Training for hot work, fall protection, BK008, chemical health risks, etc.
