Boliden Rönnskär in Skelleftehamn is one of the world's most efficient smelters, extracting metals from raw materials from mines and various types of recycled materials. In particular, copper, gold, silver, lead and zinc clinker are produced. Rönnskär currently has around 890 employees.

Work tasks

We need to recruit a work environment engineer for the section for work environment, quality and shell protection. The section currently consists of a section manager, a work environment engineer, a work environment developer, a fire engineer and 2 quality/activity developers. The work is carried out in close cooperation with other departments throughout the Rönnskär industrial area.

As a work environment engineer, your main tasks are to be an advisor and support in work environment issues for the entire organization. This includes, among other things:

  • Supporting and training the organization to maintain and improve the systematic work environment management
  • Developing operational systems
  • Developing incident management systems (IA)
  • Contacts with authorities
  • Responsible for the development of Rönnskär's occupational hygiene work
  • Train employees in relevant areas
  • Audit and follow-up on protection and safety work
  • Knowledge of current legislation
  • Assist with specialist expertise and supporting documentation in the work environment.
  • Establish / revise / anchor / implement procedures and instructions
  • Carry out work environment measurements
  • Assist in safety rounds, risk analyses and review meetings in accordance with the company's systematic work environment management

Education/qualifications

A work environment engineer at Rönnskär is a person who with commitment and enthusiasm supports the organization in work environment issues. You are structured and goal-oriented in your approach, trustworthy and easy to work with. You enjoy working in environments where you are involved in change management and the creation of structure and order. You are driven by working with continuous improvements and take responsibility for your part of the value chain.

You are used to working both independently and in a team, have good communication skills, are responsive and have personal integrity. As a work environment engineer, you have an important task to contribute with tools and ideas to develop our work with work environment issues.

To be considered for this position, you will need

  • University degree in occupational health and safety or equivalent experience
  • Experience in giving trainings and presentations
  • Good written and spoken language skills (Swedish and English)
  • Good IT skills
  • B driving license
  • Knowledge of occupational hygiene issues

  • Work experience in health and safety issues in an industrial environment
