As Head of IT Operations and Security, you will have overall responsibility for the operation, security and optimization of Elvia's central IT platform. In this role, you will ensure high performance, information security and compliance with established standards to support the organization's goals. You will play a key role in shaping Elvia's IT strategy and ensure a holistic approach to our hybrid IT platform. The department is evolving and this role gives you the opportunity to shape the department. As Head of Department, you will also be part of the management team for IT and Development, reporting to the Director of IT and Development in Elvia.

At Elvia, solid IT operations and security are an important mainstay, and it's even more important now with the new threat picture we see globally. IT security is crucial to protect Elvia's data, prevent loss of reputation and financial loss and, not least, secure our customers and the power supply in central Eastern Norway. The duties of the role include:

  • Overall responsibility: IT operations, information security, compliance and digital workplace.
  • Comprehensive responsibility: Collaborate with the management team in IT and Development to ensure a holistic strategic approach to IT and digitization.
  • Vendor follow-up: Work closely with Elvia's operating and system vendors to ensure stable operation and performance of systems and applications.
  • Resource monitoring: Ensure adequate monitoring and optimization of Elvia's hybrid operating platform.
  • Lifecycle management: Ensure management and lifecycle management of applications and systems in close collaboration with specialist departments.
  • Information security: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and data systems, as well as protect against cyber threats and attacks.
  • Access Management: Provide strong identity and access management mechanisms to ensure secure access to systems and resources.
  • Policies and Procedures: Lead the implementation and adherence to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable information technology regulations and standards, and define the security architecture for our IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Technical Support: Provide departmental expertise, technical support and services to Elvia's business units, collaborate with external vendors for user support and develop communication strategies to ensure effective communication with our end users.
  • Industry forums: Participate in relevant industry forums and represent Elvia within the relevant subject area to help develop secure IT operations.
  • Skills development: Maintain and further develop expertise and capacity in the department.

Qualifications:

Relevant technical education at master's level with several years of experience in IT operations and security. Extensive experience can compensate for formal competence requirements.

    Experience requirements:

    • Management experience from relevant industries and areas of responsibility
    • Information security, such as security architecture, security frameworks and services as well as strategic security work
    • Risk assessment, risk assessment, incident management and security audits
    • Professional expertise in overall platform architecture
    • Experience with technical operations from larger operating environments
    • Good knowledge of IT operations and security work, as well as work with authorities and other industry players
    • Experience from the energy industry is an advantage, but not a requirement

    Office and travel

    This role is either located in the Oslo office Harbitzalléen 5 at Skøyen or in Hamar in Vangsveien 73. Both our offices are new and beautiful with a great location. Travel between the locations must be expected. Our work concept is mostly together, but with the opportunity to work from home occasionally.
