About us

Gällivare Energi AB has produced and distributed its own energy for over 40 years and today supplies district heating to private individuals and companies in Gällivare, Malmberget and Koskullskulle. We are close to our customers and offer genuine security and high availability through easy contact. In addition, we can offer 100% climate-neutral district heating.

Gällivare Energi AB has been granted funding of SEK 10 million to work on a preliminary project called "Conversion of the energy system in Gällivare to industrial residual heat". The project will create the conditions for solving the challenge of a more sustainable and smart energy system through an updated system for district heating in Gällivare, ready to handle the extremely large amounts of waste heat that will be available in 2026 or when LKAB's production of fossil-free steel has started.

About the role

We need to strengthen the team and are now looking for a general engineer for a new role in the company, who can be responsible for and drive projects throughout our business area, as well as look at what new energy areas we can develop in the future.

As this is a new position with a strong focus on new energy solutions, as well as our ongoing project, your work and commitment will have a central role in the progress of these areas within Gällivare Energi. We can promise you a varied, innovative and collaborative role where you, together with other employees, are given great opportunities to develop Gällivare Energi towards a broader and greener energy production.

Organizationally, you will be directly subordinate to the CEO.

Example of work content:

Ø Support the regular business with your engineering expertise and run projects in the regular business based on its needs and priorities

Ø Project management with associated responsibilities and tasks in our newly started waste heat project, where planning and follow-up, as well as profit and budget responsibility

Ø Collaborate with the industry and build networks with other energy companies in Norrbotten

Ø Benchmarking and external monitoring / analysis in the business area

About you

You have an engineering education from university / college, preferably with a focus on energy. To thrive in this role, we believe that you also have a few years of experience in the field of energy. We attach great importance to who you are as a person, i.e. that you are goal-oriented and communicative, and have the ability to plan, take initiative and responsibility for achieving set results together with others. At Gällivare Energi, which is a small company with about 25 employees, we like to work together. We therefore value your ability to cooperate, help when and where needed and to create good relationships, internally with colleagues as well as with other partners.
