Description of activities
Granbacka Förskola has two mixed-age departments located in the residential area of Granbacka near a very inspiring forest and nature. This forms an important part of the preschool's learning environment that the staff use in their teaching together with the children. The preschool works actively to develop learning environments where the children's influence, exploration and learning are at the center. The preschool has two teams that work together to create a good preschool for all children. Outdoor education and project work are important ways of working that we want to develop further.
It is the children's own interests and abilities that guide our activities, which promotes the opportunity for our educators to work with research together with the children.
Work tasks
As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementation and reflection in the team and for implementing the systematic quality work in collaboration with other colleagues at the preschool. The children will be given new challenges and receive support and stimulation for their development and learning. You have great influence over your work and are based on good cooperation across the building. There are great opportunities for those who want to test new ways of working and develop the business together with children, guardians and colleagues.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher and are well acquainted with the preschool curriculum. You are a clear leader, independent and responsible. You are positive and have a high level of confidence in the children's skills. We would like to see that you have a special interest in one of the target areas for preschool and want to develop this at our preschool. This could be in health, outdoor education, gender equality or children's language development. At Granbacka preschool, there is great scope to develop the work together with other staff.
We consider it important that you have an easy time developing relationships with children and guardians and a desire to develop and learn together. You need to be well acquainted with digital tools in order to be able to use them in teaching to enhance children's learning and to use them for documentation as a basis for reflection and development.
Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
