Description of activities
The airport is currently organizationally placed within the Public Works and Technology Administration. From 2025-01-01, the airport will be run as a company under the name Lapland Airport i Gällivare AB. However, the airport's task will continue to be to function as part of the national and European transport infrastructure. This task includes handling passenger traffic, mail freight and medical transportation.
Job description
We are looking for a Security Officer for the airport who wants to help strengthen security work and meet the requirements of authorities and customers. You will have an important role in ensuring that our travelers and operators have a positive experience of the airport. The work requires an ability to drive and develop the internal and external security work linked to physical security, personnel security and information security. Quality assurance is included, where you design and implement procedures and ensure that these are complied with and work for a good safety culture throughout the airport's operations. The work includes having close contact with the responsible authority Transportstyrelsen.

The daily work is both operational, such as conducting security checks and access control, as well as strategic work in the form of, among other things, participation in development projects and budget planning. The airport is classified and a civilian security site. You must therefore be prepared to undergo a security clearance and register check in accordance with the Security Protection Act. You will also need to be cleared by the Swedish Transport Agency in your role as airport security officer. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with post-secondary education or education that the employer considers equivalent. As a person, you are driven and committed, have a high security mindset and preferably previous experience of security work. You like new challenges and you want and can create good relationships and establish trust. You have the ability to work both operationally and strategically. Creating security and a good security culture is a matter of course for you. You have good initiative and easily absorb knowledge and new ways of working. We consider it an advantage if you have previously worked with security protection, preferably in airport operations. It is important that you can interact and communicate with contacts both internally and externally.
You should be able to express yourself well in Swedish and English in speech and writing, and have good knowledge of digital tools.Since the airport is a business that is governed by laws and regulations, it is important that you have the ability to familiarize yourself with the regulations that govern the business. You will receive the training required for the position based on regulatory requirements. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
