Älvgården is a special accommodation for the elderly located at Gällivare hospital with close proximity to scenic surroundings and the hometown area. Älvgården plan 7 department Sjöfallet has 15 beds. Department Ritsem has 19 accommodation places

Work tasks

As an assistant nurse, you have the role of contact person and are responsible for ensuring that the user has a good quality of life by meeting individual needs based on the implementation plans that are drawn up and the guidelines and objectives of the business. You are a support in everyday life for the user and help with what the person needs help with such as giving medicine, helping the user with hygiene, dressing/undressing and socializing. The assignment as an assistant nurse or care assistant also includes some administrative tasks such as documentation and scheduling.

Qualifications

Three-year nursing program, assistant nurse education, other education that is considered equivalent or work experience in the field. We are looking for you who are responsible and easy to cooperate, you have knowledge in the field, are positive and have great interest and commitment that you can easily translate into practical actions on the unit. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

In the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working hours/Duration

Temporary employment, full time. Probationary period may apply. Weekend work every 3rd or every other weekend.
