Description of activities

Hedskolan is a f-6 school with an adapted primary school that is 3-parallel with about 500 students and 100 employees. We are centrally located in Gällivare municipality within walking distance of the sports hall, swimming pool, etc. Hedskolan has a well-developed approach to collegial learning that covers all parts of the curriculum. We can thus offer continuous skills development of driven process leaders, PAX and IBIS instructors and IT educators. Hedskolans is now looking for 4 class mentors

Work tasks

As a class mentor, you follow a class in grades 1-6, throughout the day and are responsible, together with teachers, for creating security, well-being and study peace. You are an active resource in the classroom and the after-school program, you are also responsible for break hosting and activities. You will have contact with guardians based on social issues and thus also have a joint responsibility with teachers for documentation regarding norms and values. The assignment also includes substituting in the event of staff absence at the school and after-school center. Your work includes responsibility and work in the after-school center, before and after school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with an upper secondary education or education in children and/or leisure, activity leader in after-school care or other education that the employer considers equivalent/relevant. Experience of creating security, school values, values and norms. Experience from school, leisure center or / and other activities where you have been a leader of groups of children is an advantage. You should have good social skills, self-motivated, initiative, responsibility and have a good relationship with colleagues, students and guardians. We see that you have good communication skills, skills in the Swedish language in speech and writing. We will take great account of personal suitability.

An extract from the police criminal record is a requirement.

Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
